Campground Rules & Guest Guidelines
At Thunder Mountain Campground, we’re proud to offer a safe, clean, and family-friendly camping environment. To make sure everyone enjoys their stay, please take a few minutes to review our campground rules and guidelines.
Our goal is to provide a relaxing and respectful atmosphere for all guests—whether you’re here for a race weekend, a family getaway, or just to unwind in the mountains.
Check-In / Check-Out & Site Use
- All campers must register at the office or online upon arrival.
- Each site is limited to one camping unit (RV or tent) and one vehicle (unless approved by management).
- Keep your site neat and orderly—no outside storage of excess items, please.
Quiet Hours & Courtesy
- Quiet hours are 10:00 PM–7:00 AM.
- Please avoid generators, loud music, or parties during quiet hours.
- Be courteous and considerate of neighboring campers at all times.
Fire & Fire Safety
- Fires are allowed only in approved fire rings.
- Never leave a fire unattended and make sure it’s completely extinguished before sleeping or leaving your site.
- Use only local firewood to help prevent the spread of pests and disease.
Pets
- Pets must be leashed (6 ft. max) and under control at all times.
- Please clean up after your pets and dispose of waste properly.
- No aggressive or unattended animals are allowed on-site.
Vehicles & Speed
- Drive only on designated roads and obey the 5 MPH speed limit.
- Park vehicles within your site or in designated parking areas.
- No driving or parking on the grass.
- Only golf carts are allowed as off-road vehicles.
Cleanliness & Trash
- Keep your campsite clean and tidy throughout your stay.
- Dispose of trash in the dumpsters provided—please don’t leave bags outside.
- Dumping of sewage or gray water on the ground is prohibited.
- Leave your site as clean—or cleaner—than when you arrived.
Guests & Visitors
- All guests must check in with the Campground Manager.
- Registered campers are responsible for their guests’ behavior.
- Overnight guests must be approved by management and may incur an additional fee.
Firearms & Fireworks
- Firearms are permitted, but discharging them is strictly prohibited anywhere on the property.
- Fireworks are not allowed at any time.
- Violation of these rules may result in removal from the campground.
